The Royal Ontario Museum’s Traveling EduKits

Chris Jamroz is the current CEO of STG Holdings, LLC, where he oversees the company’s offering of distribution and warehousing services. Beyond his work, Chris Jamroz supports the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) and is part of its board of governors.

Further to its exhibits, the ROM offers a range of educational packages for those studying outside of its building. Chief among these are its Traveling EduKits, which are packages of ROM materials that schools, museums, and libraries can rent to offer students hands-on time with some of the museum’s exhibits, including specimens, reproductions, and models. Each kit comes with a full lesson plan that meshes with Ontario’s K-12 educational curriculum.

The ROM makes its traveling EduKits available in four packages, with the smallest offering designed for individual study or for use with small groups of students. Its deluxe package contains enough materials to conduct lessons for two classes, each with 25-30 students. Further, the museum offers organizations the option to rent an EduKit for anywhere from two weeks to a full school year.
